Paul de Vries, Founder of, has been chosen as the honored recipient of the 2016 Lighthouse Award. This award is given annually to a person who is known for making a positive impact on the automotive industry.

Paul is an active blogger, writer, sales trainer, and keynote speaker for online sales and digital marketing in The Netherlands. His website,, Is a groundbreaking platform in Holland that sells vehicles directly to consumers, which he sold to eBay in 2015.

Paul embodies the spirit of previous winners of the prestigious Lighthouse Award by investing his passion and energy to improve the automotive industry. This is the first time the Lighthouse Award was given to a member of the automotive community outside the United States.
